Please join us for an hour long walk round the Pleasure Grounds at Petworth House led by Martyn Burkenshaw, the landscape manager.
Martyn will explore the lost Capability Brown landscape and the history of the Pleasure Ground Garden up to the present day and explain how its history is informing modern efforts in caring for this garden.
Everyone welcome including dogs kept on a short lead. It will be fun, informative and an opportunity to meet new friends so we look forward to seeing you there!
Booking is necessary for this tour and numbers are limited. Tickets £5 per head for members and non members to defray expenses – there will be no further Admission charge. Please book your tickets online or email Bev at info@petworthsociety.co.uk.
Entrance at Church Lodge Reception or Car Park Reception. Advise staff that you are on the walk and you will be waived through. Meet up at front of the Mansion House on Mansion Law at 2.30 pm.
